Meet Mazda, A Fun Loving Pup

Mazda along with Baxter, Chanel and Holly are all waiting for their "forever home" at the Humane Society of Forsyth County.

Mazda is a German shepherd mix that still has some puppy in him. He has lots of energy and has the wit of a shepherd. He is rather comical and has a goofy sense of humor. He wants to meet everybody and especially loves women - he's a flirt. Great around kids and cats, no food aggression and he seems to get along with most dogs. He is house trained and hasn't tried marking inside. Please call the HSFC at 770-887-6480 to learn more about this wonderful pet!

Baxter is approximately 3 1/2-years-old and is a WONDERFUL companion. He loves humans, is laid back, likes to play with his toys, likes to be picked up and loves to be petted. He's also okay with other cats. He has urinary tract issues, which means he needs specific food to keep him healthy. If you would like to learn more about him or schedule a visit to meet him, please feel free to contact me at secretary@forsythpets.org.

Chanel is a dainty little girl with long, silky black fur and cute white ear tufts. She came to the adoption center in 2009 and has been here ever since. Maybe it's because she is a bit shy around loud noises and small children. She's very lady like but will roll for a good tummy rub. Her favorite things are laser lights, feather sticks, and being petted on a warm lap. She is good with other cats and dogs are OKAY as long as she can ignore them. She prefers to not be carted around by small children. To schedule a visit with Chanel, please call her foster mom at 678-591-8018.

Holly is coming around with people slowly, but there is steady progress. She has had zero indoor cage accidents. Holly needs to feel safe at her home. Giving her treats and special meals will bring quicker trust with people. She is very good always plays well with other dogs. Please call the HSFC at 770-887-6480 to learn more about this wonderful pet!

A favorite quote from one of our board members is,

We are only limited in the number of animals we can help by three things: money, volunteers and space.

A strong Foster Program addresses the space limitation. We receive new calls daily from owners needing to surrender their pets, kind hearted individuals who have taken in a stray, and caring animal control workers hoping to avoid euthanizing dogs or cats in their overcrowded county shelters. A strong Foster Program addresses the space limitation and saves lives.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • On the third weekend of each month, the Humane Society host’s dog adoptions at Lakewood 400 Antiques Market, for directions visit www.lakewoodantiques.com.
