Meet Mittens, Today's Patch Pet

Mittens and the others can be adopted out from the Humane Society of Forsyth County.

Meet Esmerelda, a beautiful little black female with short hair who was born around April 20, 2011. Currently she lives at the adoption center with lots of kitty roommates. She loves being petted but is also fairly independent. In fact, she wouldn't mind being the only cat in the house.

Schooner is a male Hound mix with an estimated date of birth of April 6, 2010. He is a great dog, great with children and loves to be around people, and relishes attention. He enjoys chasing bugs and rolling in the grass on hot sunny days. Currently he's working on learning house manners. Schnooner dreams of being part of a loving family, where he is well cared for and appreciated. He has so much love to give in return.

Meet Mittens, a gorgeous black, gray and white tabby born around July 5, 2007. Mittens would love to be the only cat in the house - because as this little frisky feline doesn't always get along with the other kitty roommates. Mittens was adopted once but the former owners had asthma so they couldn't keep the kitty. Currently Mittens lives at the shelter but would love to go home with you and be your forever lap cat. Mittens is patiently waiting for that forever home.

South Carolina is a female Lab mix with born around August 8, 2011. Her name should be Miss South Carolina - she looks like a canine beauty queen! She has the look of a short-haired golden retriever mix. She's a sweetie pie for sure and would make a fabulous family pet. She enjoys chasing soccer balls, so a fenced yard would be ideal. South Carolina is still young and is playful. Due to her size she might be too rambunctious for a home with younger children. South Carolina would prefer a home where she is the only family dog. We also don't know how she would do with a feline family member.

Call the HSFC at 770-887-6480 for more information about these wonderful companions or to set up a meet and greet.
