NSFH Volunteer Auxiliary Bake Sale

The annual Northside-Forsyth Hospital bake sale is underway until 4 this afternoon.

Long before Northside Hospital-Forsyth became the leading hospital it is, a group of women formed an auxiliary in order to provide supplemental equipment to the institution.

Today that volunteer auxiliary includes more that 300 men and women and includes several members of the original group from 20 years ago.

One of the first and most popular fundraisers was and is the Annual Bake Sale held the Friday before Thanksgiving and has continued through the decades. Supporters bake and bring all kind of wonderful pastries and snacks and leave with new goodies to try out!

This year’s event will include a hand stitched Christmas stocking raffle, a cafΓ© where folks can sit with a complementary cup of coffee to enjoy with their freshly purchased goodies, and an information fair that will provide information on services provided by family members of the greater hospital community.

NSFH Volunteer Auxiliary still provides new and supplemental equipment to the medical departments as well as scholarships to employees and their children who are matriculated in a medically oriented program.
