Paws to Consider Your Pets of the Week, Aug. 23

The Humane Society of Forsyth County is in desperate need of cat litter and kitten food.

(HSFC) introduces us to Germany and Miko, Cumming Patch's pets of the week.

Germany is a beautiful 5-month-old Viszla who came to us as a stray.  When she was found one of her rear legs was broken at the growth plate and lack of medical care didn't allow it to heal correctly, but according to the HSFC staff--this doesn't slow her down at all! She is gorgeous and extremely sweet and would love an active home with the patience to teach her the life skills she needs.

Miko is an adult cat who is as precious as they come and has a beautiful black/blue coat. This sweetheart had a home and due to the passing of her owner, ended up with her Humane Society family. She is a loving cat and totally deserving of another chance to bond with that special someone. Miko is half off the normal adoption fee this month-  call the shelter at 770-887-6480 for details.

During these hot summer days, if possible keep your pet indoors. If they must be left outdoors, make sure your pet has shade and plenty of water to stay hydrated (click for more tips).
