PHOTOS: Forsyth Seniors Receive Special Visit

A group of seniors residing at the Cumming Nursing Home recently received a special visit from members of the Sawnee Cumming Optimist Club.

A Mother's Day presentation was held on May 11, at the Manor, which is a wing at the nursing home.

"We had the opportunity to bring a smile to some lovely ladies but the joy was given to us when the smiles of the ladies made the club members realize life is short and precious at all stages of life," said Lt. Gov. Russ Thomas, Zone 4 of the Georgia Optimist Club. "The roses the club gave the ladies were simple arrangements, but the love given to us was immeasurable."
