Rain Moving In, Cold Air May Be on the Way

Forsyth County and the Cumming area is set for a wet week of cooler temperatures as a cold front moves into Georgia. Freezing temperatures could arrive next week.

Following a warm weekend in the 70s, Georgia is set for rain, cooler temps and maybe even a blast of cold air from the north.

A rainy Monday and Tuesday accompany cooler weather and a cold front, as it moves from out west to the east by midweek, according to The Weather Channel. It's not yet clear how far south the cold air would reach as the jet stream dips.

Forecasters are predicting for Cumming, a 90 percent chance of rain on Monday, with a high expected to reach into the low 60's, and an 80 percent chance on Tuesday with a high of 55, according to the National Weather Service. Showers are expected to taper off Wednesday and Thursday, as low temperatures dip to 38 and 35, respectively. Highs are forecast for the mid 50s.
