Road Work Continues in Forsyth, Nearby Counties

GDOT maintenance crews continue work this week on Highway 20.

Maintenance crews with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) are resuming their work this week on patching damaged asphalt on Highway 20. The roadwork is taking place from Tower Road toward Cumming to Pine Lake Drive in the outside lane, according to Teri Pope of GA DOT. Then work will shift and go the other way from Pine Lake Dive to Tower Road also in the outside lane.

"The outside lanes are worst then the inside lane," she said.

Crews are also trimming brush and trees along Highway 53 and Highway 136 in Dawson County. They will also be mowing the slopes along Highway 52, and cleaning and repairing the ditches and trimming brush along Highway 53 and Highway 323 in Hall County.
