Road Work This Week in Forsyth, Nearby Counties

GDOT maintenance crews are working on Highway 20 this week.

Beginning today (Monday) and all this week maintenance crews with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) are in Forsyth County working on patching damaged asphalt on Highway 20 from milepost 5 to 7.5. During the project the work will require a single lane closure through the work zone.

Crews are also trimming brush and trees along Highway 53 and Highway 136 in Dawson County. They will also be mowing the slopes along Highway 52, and cleaning and repairing the ditches and trimming brush along Highway 53 and Highway 323 in Hall County.

Motorists are urged to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.

Weather permitting, scheduled work hours are from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 8. If emergency response is needed at a crash scene or if emergency repairs are necessary this schedule will change, according to the GDOT.
