Sawnee EMC customers will see lower convenience fees.

announced Friday that it's lowering the convenience fee associated with periodic “on-demand” electronic payments.

“We know that our members do not like service fees and we strive to keep all of our fees as low as possible; and whenever the opportunity exists, we lower them so as to only recover a set portion of our actual cost” said Blake House, vice president of Member Services for Sawnee.

The lower convenience fee includes online and telephone transactions that are not on automatic draft. As of March 30 the fee will be reduced to $3.50 per transaction, a reduction of $1.00 or 22 percent.
