Storm Update: What's Open, Closed on Thursday?

Cumming officials are urging residents to stay off the icy roads Thursday as crews work to improve them.

As the area struggles to thaw out, here's a recap of what is open and closed for Thursday in the Cumming area.

Road Update 

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Department says: Forsyth County roadways are still bad, as well as metro Atlanta. Improvement on the roadways will not start until this afternoon.


Closed

Forsyth County government offices will be closed Thursday, February 13. This closure includes county government offices, the Forsyth County Courthouse, Senior Services, and Forsyth County Parks and Recreation’s indoor facilities.

All Parks and Recreation programs and activities are canceled Thursday.

Schools: Forsyth County Schools are closed on Thursday, Feb. 13, and the board of education work session set for this afternoon has been canceled.

There's no word yet on whether school will be held on Friday.

Forsyth County Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 13. All after school activities and athletics are cancelled for Thursday.

12 month staff should NOT report to work on Thursday, February 13.

No decision has been made concerning make up days for this week however, please be aware that the school calendar for this weekend, February 14-17, 2014 will not change.
