Viewfinder: Special Olympiads Invade Forsyth Central High School

Special Olympiads from all over Forsyth County enjoyed a day filled with fun and competition on a chilly and overcast April day.

Local county high school students and many other generous volunteers showed up on Friday to make this year's Forsyth County Special Olympics both fun and inspiring for our population of children and young adults with disabilities. Each high school "buddy" was paired with an olympiad to run the course of olympic events that included a foot race, soccer kick and softball throw.

The two rotations of athletes enjoyed lunch compliments of McDonalds with a special appearance by Ronald McDonald and the Chick-fil-A cow.

The gym at Forsyth Central High School was transformed into a launching point for teams filled with games, facepainting and appearances.
