This week's viewfinder highlights some pretty cool kids in our community. Take a peek at who they are and what they've done.

This week's viewfinder highlights some pretty cool kids in our community from Pinecrest Academy, Forsyth Central and a couple of Eagle Scouts from South Forsyth. Take a peek at who they are and what they've done.

  • Earlier this month the Pinecrest Academy High School Math Team participated in a math competition held at Sequoyah High School in Cherokee County. The team placed third in the Varsity division.  Congratulations!
  • Forsyth Central High School’s Lady Bulldogs girl’s softball team presented Northside Hospital’s Breast Care Program with a $2,000 check to help raise awareness of breast cancer. The money was raised during the team’s 2010 "Pink Out" softball tournament, held Sept. 9-12, at Forsyth Central High School. All proceeds from T-shirt sales, admissions, concessions and other donations were presented to the hospital. Well done!
  • During a recent meeting of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners two Eagle Scouts were recognized for their accomplishments. Stephen Pawlik and Tyler Cromwell were each presented with a Resolution from the commissioners.
