Auditions Held for Popular Musical

Organizers with THE PRODUCERS are looking for male and female actors who act, sing and dance well for principal and ensemble roles.

Theater of the Stars will hold adult auditions for THE PRODUCERS, the Broadway musical that won 12 Tony Awards, on Saturday Oct. 20, at 10 a.m.

Registration will open at 9:45 a.m. with call backs taking place later that afternoon. Auditions will be held in downtown Atlanta at the Alliance Theatre located at 1280 Peachtree Street, third floor in Rehearsal Hall number 1.

These auditions are available for both Actors’ Equity and non-Equity actors. Actors’ Equity Members will be seen by appointment and all roles (with the exception of Max and Leo) are open.

Organizers with the show are looking for male and female actors who act, sing and dance well for principal and ensemble roles.

Please bring two copies of your headshot and resume, your own sheet music and be prepared to sing 16 bars of music from a Broadway musical song that best shows off your voice. Musical accompaniment will be provided. No a cappella, pop or rock selections please. Please wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to dance if asked for a callback.

In order to be cast in the musical you must be available from Jan. 14-31, 2013. Rehearsal in Atlanta will tentatively start on Jan. 14, 2013 (the tentative rehearsal schedule is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day). The show will open at the Fox Theatre on Friday, Jan. 25, and run through Jan. 31, 2013.
