Cumming Native Starring in 3rd Season of 'Law and Order: SVU'

Kelli Giddish, perhaps best knows for her former role as "Di" on 'All My Children,' plays Detective Amanda Rollins.

Cumming native Kelli Giddish was in town Monday after filming Friday at 4 a.m. a scene in which she climbs a water tower in New York.

Giddish is starring, in her third season, as Detective Amanda Rollins on NBC's Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, after short stints as a cop on Fox's Past Life and NBC's Chase, reports Access AtlantaShe appeared on Atlanta's NBC affiliate before Wednesday's Season 15 premier of SVU, according to 11Alive.

"We play cops and robbers in the streets of Manhattan," she told Access Atlanta. "It's a dream!"

Giddish may be best known for her role as Diana "Di" Henry on the ABC's daytime drama All My Children. She appeared in 112 episodes of the soap opera, as well as other TV series and movies, such as The Understudy in 2008, according to IMDb, the Internet Movie Database.
