The action-packed stage play will run Thursday, April 19th thru Saturday, April 21nd at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 22nd at 3 p.m.  Advance tickets are available over the phone or online for a reduced price of $11.50 for adults and $7.50 for students 18 years and younger.  To purchase, call 866-967-8167 or go to showtix4u.com.  Tickets will also be available at the door for $12 and $8.

Based on the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas, The Three Musketeers stage play adaptation by Ken Ludwig is both “refreshing” and “awesome” according to critics.  “The Three Musketeers is fast-paced, witty, and intense at just the right moments. There is a wonderful balance of emotionally charged dialogue as well as ample amounts of stage combat.”

Set in Renaissance-era France, the The Three Musketeers is a tale of heroism, treachery, close escapes and above all, honor.

The story revolves around D'Artagnan, a young man from Gascony who heads to Paris with his sister, Sabine, who poses as D’Artagnan’s male servant, in search of adventure.   Soon after reaching Paris, D'Artagnan encounters the greatest heroes of the day, Athos, Porthos and Aramis, the famous musketeers.  The four men become entangled in a plot surrounding the evil Cardinal Richelieu, the sly Milady de Winter and a romance between the Duke of Buckingham and Queen Anne.

Eric Gray, Studio West Productions award winning artistic director, said they are excited to bring this story to life on their stage.  “This play has it all,” he said “comedy, tragedy, plot twists, and some really exciting stage combat that will keep the audience on the edge of their seat.”

Gray said that his actors are thrilled to be a part of The Three Musketeers and that many of them are no strangers to wielding a sword on stage.  “These students take what they do seriously.  Most of them have been involved in other theatre programs, both locally and nationally, and they are constantly honing their acting chops through workshops and classes, including stage combat, in order to make every performance professional quality.”
