Girlfriends Mixer

When/Where?: Mountain Lake Church, 3105 Dahlonega Hwy.
Cumming, Thursday, Sept. 1, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Why Go?: The Girlfriends Mixers are a fun girl's night out! This month, Mountain Lake Church are starting the countdown to Christmas with a Christmas Idea Swap. That's right, you and your friends will share all of your favorite holiday tips, like recipes, family traditions, and party ideas. Why now, you ask? Why not? Plus, we have a few surprises up our sleeve.

Why Go?: This rodeo is a seven event rodeo that includes: Bull Riding, Bare Back Riding, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping and Saddle Bronc Riding.

Price: Adults $15, Children 5-12 $10, 4 & Under Free, Seniors 65 & Up $12

Around Gainesville:

Where/When: 2429 Academy St, Gainesville, Thursday, Sept. 1, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go?: Keith and Priscilla Jefcoat celebrate 30 years of playing four-hand piano. Join them for an evening of their favorite pieces and composers, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Debussy and MacDowell.

Around Alpharetta:

Why Go?: The Chukkar Farm Concert Series kicks off its fifth year of bringing the best performing songwriters in America to Alpharetta. On this night Georgia's own James Casto is joined by Heather Morgan, and Tim Buppert. Tables are available to seat parties of two, four, six and eight.

Why Go?: Enjoy an outdoor summer concert at Riverside Park presented by the Recreation, Parks, Historic & Cultural Affairs Department of the City of Roswell. Food is available for purchase at the concession stand or you may bring your own. Blankets and chairs are welcome and seating is on a first come, first served basis. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be cancelled.
