Get Out Cumming: Things to Do This Weekend

This weekend activities include end of summer fun days at Barrington Hall and Autrey Mills, garage sales, grandparent/child hike on Sawnee Mountain and more.

Why Go?: Stick it 2 cancer and LLS (Chapter one) by purchasing bake goods to help find our way to a cure. Kids are making fresh lemonade and there will be plenty of sweet treats. Bring your pitching arm for our very own toilet toss game. All Proceeds will be donated to fight for a cure for cancer.

Why Go?: My Morning Jacket is proud to announce additional US tour dates in celebration of their forthcoming album, Circuital. Joining them on the road will be Neko Case, who will be opening the stage most of August. The band will donate $1 from every ticket sold to a local charity.

Why Go?: The Off Broadway Kids Musical Theatre Troupe is our award-winning theatre competition troupe. Each year up to 20 kids are cast to perform a show and take it to the National Performing Arts Festival in Disney World. Audition and join for their 10th year.

Why Go?: Nature Tales is geared towards children ages 3-5 and is intended to be a time for both children and their grandparents to learn about nature together. This hour long program features a story, craft, nature activities and a walk. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Where/When: 2435 Jake Dr, Cumming, GA 30028, Friday and Saturday (19th and 20th), 8:00am–3:00pm

Why Go?: Shop for furniture: bedroom, family room, and tons of office furniture, a forklift, bikes, ride-ons. Housewares include baby furniture, TV's, and electronics. Clothing for all members of the family, name-brand clothing: newborn to size 12, teen girls, ladies, and men's clothes. Hundreds of toys: many never used plus books & antiques.

Why Go?: Aurtrey Mill's annual water-bration to commemorate the end of summer with a fun-filled Water Day. Join Autrey Mill Nature Preserve as they have fun with educational water games, slip and slides, water slides, snow cones, dunk machines and all things H2O. It will be family fun for all ages.

Why Go?: Enjoy a single Mom lunch and learn event. Faith’s House, Inc. is sponsoring a meeting for single moms of all ages. Meetings are the 3rd Sat every month from 11am-1pm at Friendship Christian School. Come and connect with other single moms, receive resume/ job/ career/ college help from our guest speakers and links to community resources. Light lunch provided. Free on-site childcare provided.
