Why I Support Brad Wilkins for Forsyth County GOP Chairman

Vote for Brad Wilkins for Forsyth County GOP Chairman.

Brad is a highly principled, small-government, Republican conservative who believes as did Ronald Reagan, the nine most terrifying words in the English language are, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

"He also believes, as did Reagan, that conservatism is a three-legged stool, consisting of religious conservatives, national security conservatives, and economic/libertarian conservatives and that each should have a seat at the table in policy discussions.

Don't let Brad's youthful appearance fool you. He is a fighter who has long been a beacon for conservative Republican causes. He faithfully served the party for four years as second- and then first-vice chairman and helped to organize the Forsyth County Tea Party Patriots. He has the ear -- and the respect -- of the members of the county's state delegation and county commission who are true conservatives. Those who aren't... not so much!

Another reason I support Brad is he understands the fiery rhetoric and vicious personal attacks on elected officials spewed by our more radical local bloggers is self-defeating. It may make the blogger sound tough, but it does nothing to influence policy.

Does that mean he's a doormat? Absolutely not!

What it does mean is that because his disagreement with those in power is never personal he has a better opportunity to meet with them one-on-one and make a strong case for what he believes. Then, if there is still disagreement he makes his case publicly, but never in a personal way.

That is a much more effective leadership strategy.

In the interest of full disclosure, Brad is a friend. He is also the best possible choice for Chairman of the Forsyth County Republican Party.
