Free Heart Health Screening

In recognition of February as American Heart Month, Northside Hospital-Forsyth is hosting a free community screening, to determine risk for heart disease, stroke and diabetes, along with an open house of the hospital’s Cardiology Services.

The event takes place on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. until noon at the hospital. (Enter through Main Entrance and greeters will direct you.)

The comprehensive screening will be administered by health care professionals and include a risk assessment, blood pressure reading, total cholesterol (HDL, ratio of TC/HDL), glucose, 12-lead EKG, sleep apnea screenings, smoking cessation counseling, a limited number of screening echocardiograms and a one-on-one consultation with a healthcare professional to review results.

In conjunction with the screening, Northside also will offer an open house of its Cardiology Services, including tours of the Cath Lab and PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Interventions) services. Physicians and staff will be on hand to discuss the hospital’s growing range of prevention, education, diagnostic and treatment options – representing a continued commitment by Northside to provide comprehensive cardiovascular services to the community.

Both events are free, but registration is required to participate in the screening. Please call 404-845-5555 and press "0" to schedule an appointment.
