Active Adult Community Under Construction

Construction on two new units is underway at Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge, an active adult community.

With the new development taking place, this could be a possible sign that new construction is rebounding in Cumming.

“Lots are being bought up, developments are starting to reopen, new and improved builders are returning to the area. With this come jobs, not just construction, but jobs for everyone. This is what I call a turn around event,” said Mark DiJohn with Results Realty Services. “Demand is going up, interest rates are going up and inventory is dropping. Foreclosures are taking longer and banks are willing to short sale more than ever. Builders know this and will be the first to capitalize on it. As we build new homes, prices will start to rise and resale’s will benefit in the long run.”

Because prices are so low, and many baby boomers have lost a significant portion of their nest egg, they are seeing excellent pricing opportunities in Cumming.”
