Community Gives Back to New Healthcare Facility

Volunteers and donations make Children's Healthcare of Forsyth feel welcome.

Anytime you see new development, you’ll hear the common phrase "Build it, and they will come." In Cumming, some volunteers say “Build it, and they will give.”

The new Children’s Healthcare of Forsyth is evidence of that. On June 1, the new facility is set for their .

Passionate volunteers and generous donations are some of the advantages of being located in Forsyth, according to hospital administrators.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has 35 Community volunteer organizations, including one in Forsyth with more than 30 members and service isn’t all that’s donated. 

Hansgrohe is an international faucet and shower company headquartered in Alpharetta. Its marketing manager heard the facility needed faucets and within five days they were installed.

“Sixty percent of our product is manufactured here,” said company president Russ Wheeler. “We were able to turn it around pretty quickly,” he continued.

The donation is valued at more than $40,000.

“We have 250 employees in the county," Wheeler said. "We all live here.  We have kids and our employees have kids.  This is something they can be proud of.”
