Home Builder Makes Business Magazine's Top 20 List

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods placed 10th in the rankings.

A company that operates in Cumming, still fairly new to the residential construction industry has found itself ranked among several longtime firms and companies that have a presence nationally.

Last month, the Atlanta Business Chronicle put out its list of the “Top 20 Home Builders in Atlanta.” After just three years in business, Cobb County-based Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods landed in the no. 10 position in a compilation that included a number of companies that have been building in Atlanta since the 1960s and 1970s.

“On behalf of myself, my partners—Jon Roby and Thomas Olson, and the rest of the Acadia team, I’d like to thank the Atlanta Business Chronicle for recognizing our company with this outstanding distinction,” Gregg Goldenberg, president & CEO for Acadia Homes, said in a news release announcing the honor.

“When we first launched Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods, we set out to become ‘A New Builder For A New Time’—to take the lessons learned from the housing crash of 2008 and apply innovative thinking to help push our market towards a recovery,” Goldenberg added. “We envisioned a company that would be a leader in this industry through the provision of beautifully crafted homes and thoughtfully inspired communities throughout the metro Atlanta area. As we join a list that includes a number of national companies and highly respected builders that have been in business for decades, it’s clear that our vision has become a reality.”

Since breaking ground on their first home in 2010, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods has been recognized with a number of Gold and Silver OBIE Awards from the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, a Guildmaster with Distinction Award for Customer Satisfaction from GuildQuality, and, most recently, a Customer Service Excellence Award from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty®. Earlier this year, the Atlanta Business Chronicle also honored Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods with a Pacesetter Award as the fifth-fastest growing privately held company in Atlanta.
