The grocery store chain announced it will be lowering prices on thousands of items.

Kroger stores are beginning a new pricing campaign, which will mean the end of double coupons on Sept. 21.

Kroger currently doubles coupons of $0.50 or below.

The company plans to lower prices on more than 3,000 popular food and household products starting on Sept. 8. National and private label brands are included.

There will be a renewed emphasis on "valid" print and digital coupons that can be downloaded on Kroger's website.

Stores in Atlanta Division will be affected. This includes Georgia, Eastern Tennessee, Northern Alabama and South Carolina.

“While we have chosen to discontinue double couponing, our customers can still reap the benefits of incredible savings with these new lower prices on thousands of everyday products," a Kroger spokesperson said in a press release.

Kroger has stores in Cumming located at 2655 Freedom Parkway, 2325 Bethelview Road and 1595 Peachtree Parkway.
