New RaceTrac Set To Bring 20 Jobs To Cumming

Set for 510 Peachtree Parkway in Cumming, the new store in expected to open in the first quarter of 2014.

Cumming's second RaceTrac, part of the privately-held corporation RaceTrac Petroleum, which operates more than 525 RaceTrac and RaceWay stores in 12 southeastern states., will bring 20 jobs to Cumming, company spokeswoman Ashleigh Collins said.


Set for 510 Peachtree Parkway—at the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Ronald Reagan Boulevard and less than four miles from an existing RaceTrac location—the new store, at nearly 6,000 square feet, will employee 20 people.

It "will feature more than 4,000 retail and grocery items to address our guests’ needs, including premium food offerings and endless beverage options," Collins said. "As RaceTrac aims to make people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable, we debuted this new prototype in 2012, and it features indoor and outdoor seating, an expansive coffee bar and free WiFi, in addition to the large selection of premium beverage and food items. 

"The store will also have a wide variety of fresh food options, including fresh sandwiches, flat bread wraps, salads, fruit cups, whole fruits and frozen yogurt from our Swirl World frozen yogurt bar, which features 10 flavors and more than 40 toppings, including fresh fruits and candy."

Construction is set begin in late 2013, and the company plans to open the store in first quarter of 2014.
