Freelance Technical Writer

ProEdit has a need for a talented junior-level technical writer to work on an ongoing freelance basis. The writer will be an integral part of our internal documentation team and will work closely with the project managers and editors in our Cumming office. The writer will have the opportunity to develop a variety of documents, including policies and procedures, website content, SOPs, RFPs, software and hardware documentation, and training modules and materials. Cardiac Catheterization RN

Reporting to the Cardiology Manager the Cardiac Catheterization RN will be responsible for assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and other cardiovascular procedures by circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing for procedures. The position is at Northeside Hospital-Forsyth and the shift is from 7 am. to 5:30 p.m. More information about this position can be found online.

Equipment Operator II

Performs various tasks associated with construction/maintenance of roads & bridges; assists in maintaining roads. Performs various tasks associated with roadside maintenance or grounds maintenance. Assists with traffic control at construction/work sites; flags traffic through/around work sites; sets up safety cones, barricades, barrels, & road/warning signs; assists other equipment operations in maneuvering equipment within work sites. This is a full-time position with the Roads and Bridges Department, $12.11 per hour. More information about this position can be found online.

Supervisor, Road Maintenance

Directs and supervises projects involving repair/maintenance of county roads and bridges; supervises work crews engaged in mowing and side-arm cutting right-of-ways, picking up trash/debris, removing dead animals from roadways, filling potholes, building road shoulders, preparing roads for resurfacing, scraping roads, spreading gravel, cleaning ditches, clearing side/cross drains, installing side drains and cross drains, placing barricades on closed roads, spreading salt on icy roads, removing fallen trees, or other related tasks. This is a full-time position with the Roads and Bridges Department, $18.15 per hour. More information about this position can be found online.

Lifeguards Wanted

The City of Cumming is actively recruiting and training lifeguards to work at the new Cumming Aquatic Center scheduled to open June 2011. American Red Cross lifeguard certification courses are available for those who need to be trained. A meeting for interested candidates will be held on March 5 at 5 p.m. at the Castleberry building, 301 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Cumming.
