Administrative Specialist, Forsyth County Government

The Administrative Specialist position maintains confidentiality of departmental documentation and issues. Answers telephone calls and greets visitors; ascertains nature of business, directs callers/visitors to appropriate personnel, and records/relays messages; initiates and returns calls as necessary. 

Performs customer service functions; provides information/assistance regarding department services, activities, locations, procedures, timeframes, documentation, fees, or other issues; distributes forms/documentation as requested; responds to routine questions or complaints; researches problems/complaints and initiates problem resolution.

Supervisor, Road Maintenance, Forsyth County Government

The person in this position will perform supervisor duties for employees on the mowing and asphalt patching crew. Coordinates and monitors supplies, equipment inventory and repairs. Responds to all work request submitted -cutting site distance, trimming, repairing potholes, litter, picking up of dead animals, etc. Coordinates work duties of inmate detail. 

 Supervises activities to maintain traffic control and safety at construction/work sites, including flagging of traffic and setup of safety cones, barricades, barrels, and road/warning signs; ensures proper training and certification of employees engaged in traffic control activities.

Pay for this full-time position is $18.15 per hour. This position is part of the On-Call rotation and hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Go online for more information.

Equipment Operator II, Forsyth County Government

The person in this position will operate heavy equipment & performs manual work which may involve road/bridge construction/maintenance with drainage, digging ditches, installation of pipe, scape & gravel roads and shoulder work.

Assists with traffic control at construction/work sites; flags traffic through/around work sites; sets up safety cones, barricades, barrels, and road/warning signs; assists other equipment operators in maneuvering equipment within work sites. Follows safety procedures, utilizes safety equipment, and monitors work environment to ensure safety of employees and other individuals.
