Permanent Traveling Technical Writer, ProEdit

ProEdit has an immediate need for a technical writer who will travel across the US providing services to our clients on an ongoing basis. The technical writer will be responsible for writing and editing a variety of documents in various environments. The technical writer will need to properly manage their time, successfully work around the schedules of subject matter experts, and take the initiative to complete tasks with little supervision. Senior Administrative Specialist, Forsyth County Procurement Department

Answers telephone calls and greets visitors; ascertains nature of business, directs callers/visitors to appropriate personnel.  Performs customer service functions; provides information/assistance regarding procurement services, activities, locations, procedures, timeframes, documentation, fees, or other issues; distributes forms/documentation as requested.

Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data; performs data entry functions by keying data into computer; verifies accuracy of entered data and makes corrections; utilizes word processing, spreadsheet, database, bookkeeping, case management, presentation, desktop publishing, calendar, Internet, e-mail, or other programs. 

Maintains file system of various files/records for the department/division; prepares and sets up files; sorts/organizes documents to be filed; files documents in designated order; retrieves/replaces files; shreds/destroys confidential or obsolete documents. Customer Service Representative, Forsyth County Commercial Services Department

Performs customer service functions; answers telephone calls, responds to emails, responds to faxes, and assists customers in person; provides assistance and information related to utility services.

Establishes and maintains customer utility accounts; receives applications for service; sets up new accounts in computer following current county policy. Receives moneys in payment of utility deposits, bills, or other fees/services; records transactions and issues receipts; posts payments to proper account on computer; prepares daily deposit reports. Communications Officer IV, Forsyth County E-911 Center

Supervises staff on an assigned shift: assigns and oversees work; provides direction, training, and assistance to employees; coordinates daily work activities; organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; monitors status of work, inspects completed work, and troubleshoots problem situations; ensures shift activities comply with established policies and procedures; responds to employee problems/concerns, disciplines, and appraises the performance of subordinate staff; assists in selecting new employees. 

Supervises communications activities on shift: coordinates shift work to ensure coverage; monitors radio activity and staff response to incoming calls to ensure proper handling/processing; implements quality assurance activities; provides backup coverage and assists staff in handling calls when needed; provides leadership and assumes control of calls involving major emergencies or potentially dangerous situations; and calls in additional personnel as necessary to maintain adequate manpower during shift.

Satellite TV Technician/Installer, Dish Network

At DISH we invest in our Satellite TV Installers/Technicians. We provide classroom and on-the-job training as well as a van, tools and uniforms. Our Satellite TV Installers/Technicians are responsible for multiple customer visits daily which could include completing site surveys, installing satellite equipment, ensuring a quality broadband internet connection and educating our customers on their award winning DISH Satellite TV services.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Inventory - maintain accurate inventory and equipment for installations, service calls or trouble tickets.
  • Conduct site survey - determine the best positioning of our equipment for strongest signal reception.
  • Equipment installation - place mounts, satellite dishes and receivers while ensuring broadband connectivity.
  • Customer education - review order with the customer and teach them the basics to use and enjoy their new service and equipment.
  • Dish Smart Home Services - successful technicians have the opportunity to offer our customers additional services and products while earning incentives and building new skill sets that will propel them into the future of in-home services delivery.
  • Verification - ensure the completed order meets the customer's needs.

SAT/ACT Tutors, The Tutoring Center

 At The Tutoring Center located in Sugar Hill, we are committed to helping each student reach and exceed his or her potential by delivering customized instruction highly focused on the individual student. The Tutoring Center’s SAT/ACT instructors/tutors are an essential part of our Company, and we are determined to hire and develop only the very best!

You must possess the aptitude for solving and teaching SAT/ACT problems, the personality and professionalism that our students and their parents expect from us consistently, the ability to motivate students and deliver personalized educational services.  We are currently hiring multiple SAT/ACT Tutors.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree from a selective college or university, or attending college with excellent grades.
  • Proficiency: High level of demonstrated proficiency in the SAT/ACT subjects you wish to teach – a SAT score of 700+ in each subject.
  • Schedule: Be available to tutor through the 2012-2013 school year and, ideally, beyond, as per above schedule.
  • Experience: Have experience teaching, tutoring or working with high-school aged students.
