Located at 2360 Bethelview Road in northwest Forsyth County, Funky Mountain Flowers and Gifts is owned and operated by Brenda Moran with the help of Rebecca Domes, one of the designers, and Jan Phillips.

The shop offers unique floral arrangements and a variety of candles, totes, slippers, and greeting cards to name a few of the items.

Moran said she's survived being in business for several years now.

"That whole five year thing is ringing true, if you can stay in business for five years it all happens for you," she said.

Funky Mountain also handles special events, weddings and proms within the community and out of town.

"We travel just about anywhere to do special events, so it doesn't have to be just in Forsyth County," she said. "If somebody is getting married in Atlanta or Charleston we can travel."

As for winning this week's Readers' Choice poll, Moran said they are very excited.
