Winter Weather in Cumming Makes Video Game Deals More Appealing

Many stores have great sales on video games and consoles right now when its too cold for the kids to play outdoors.

With the weather getting so cold, this is the time of the year that many parents I know allow their kids to spend more time playing on their video game systems.

With it being Friday and a very cold weekend ahead, I thought this was the perfect time to check out all of the latest deals on getting the kids fixed up and current with the latest games and systems, at a discount.

is a great place to go for video games. They can be bought new or used and the used ones are guaranteed to work. Gamers can trade in the games that they no longer play for store credit towards a game that they do want to play. This keeps the clutter away and the gamers current without having to spend as much out of pocket. The store sells new release titles, old titles, consoles and new and used games. Their prices are usually pretty standard but they often have promotions. Currently, they have many titles including the popular Just Dance 3 on sale. Some games are just a few bucks off but some are as high as $30 off right now.

has a large game section in their North Point store. They offer consoles, games and accessories for all of the major systems. All of their items are new and they will price match any other local store if you bring in a printed ad. Note that they will not price match off of your phone even if you show them an ad on the phone. This was a surprise to me at Christmas when I noticed they were $30 higher on a toy than Walmart and I showed them on my phone and was not given the lower price. Many of their games are $10 off right now. Customers can buy the games they want online and go to the store to pick them up if they choose which is nice because it guarantees that the store has the one they want in stock.

sells video games and consoles at their stores as well. Their prices are always good for games and systems and they often have many that are on what they call rollback. The prices will drop on these items. Some of the latest titles that are on sale elsewhere are also at great prices at Walmart. The store will also price match when you show them an ad offering the exact item cheaper. They do this for groceries as well if you are a bargain shopper for your household across the board.

also has video games on sale this week. Their best deals right now are on the Playstation games and accessories. They have these up to 50 percent off. Many of their games that go with all of the different systems are on temporary price cuts right now. They generally have sales each week in their video game department and keep a good stock on hand.

has the iPod Touch and the iPad systems at their store. While these are not sale items, they do more than the traditional game systems. Applications can be bought or obtained free without going anywhere and much of what we have all used the computer for can be done on these. There are many educational games and applications for these systems.

Between the Wii, Playstation, Xbox and the the handheld systems, there is a huge variety of game consoles for families to choose from. Games come in all genres and are made suitable for all ages. While many parents frown upon them, the kids love them and I have to admit, they are good for their hand eye coordination skills. If you dread the thought of the kids sitting around playing games, invest in a Wii or a Xbox Kinect. These systems require the kids to move around to play. Many of them have exercise programs and a lot of action, making video games not so sedentary anymore.
