Local Resurgens Orthopaedics physician named Top Doctor by Atlanta magazine

Dr. Edward H. Holliger IV of the Cumming office of Resurgens Orthopaedics (1100 Northside Forsyth Drive, Suite 340) — Georgia’s largest orthopaedic practice — was named to the 2014 list of Top Doctors in the July issue of Atlanta magazine.

Seven additional Resurgens Orthopaedics physicians joined Dr. Holliger in the prestigious listing: Drs. Erroll J. Bailey, Robert A. Kelly, Kenneth J. Kress, Douglas W. Lundy, Milan Patel, Yvonne E. Satterwhite, and Steven B. Wertheim were also named Top Doctors in the magazine’s July issue.

Resurgens co-president, Dr. Douglas Lundy, said the practice is honored to have so many of its physicians recognized as Top Doctors this year. “It’s extremely gratifying to be recognized by our medical peers as a practice that provides its patients with an exceptional level of care. Our physicians — both those honored as Top Doctors and those who are not — consistently demonstrate their commitment to excellence through their outstanding individualized patient care,” Dr. Lundy commented.

Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., an established healthcare research company based in New York, compiles Atlanta magazine’s list of Top Doctors annually. Its physician-led team of researchers selects Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes evaluation of education and professional experience. Top Doctors were nominated by both a nationwide survey administered by Castle Connolly and by licensed physicians in DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, and Gwinnett counties.

Dr. Holliger states, “It's very humbling to be chosen by other physicians for this list once, let alone three times. I would be remiss if I did not recognize my amazing team as part of this honor. My support staff has always been terrific. My partners in the Hand Surgery section render exceptional patient care, and each of them is just as deserving to be recognized in this manner. The leadership of Resurgens has created an environment where we can offer excellent, individualized patient care, and I am grateful when patients seek us for their care,” Dr. Holliger said.
