Actor Sylvester Stallone's Son Found Dead

The 36-year-old who was about to be married was found dead Friday morning by a housekeeper. The actor is devastated.

Sage Moonblood Stallone, the 36-year-old first-born son of action star Sylvester Stallone, was found dead Friday morning in his home in Studio City near Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Mulholland Drive.

The cause of death was still being investigated. He was found Friday morning in his home by his housekeeper on the 8100 block of Mulholland Terrace.

There were no signs of foul play, blunt force, trauma or a suicide note, assistant coroner's chief Ed Winter told reporters outside the house Friday night.

Some prescription bottles were found, but Winter did not provide details.

However, Sage's mother, Sasha Czack said she went to identify the body and "the only bottles she found were a bunch of empty Doc Brown's Cream Soda."

Family lawyer and longtime friend of Sage, George Braunstein, told E! News that Sylvester Stallone's son "wasn't anyone trying to take his own life."

An autopsy is expected to be performed in "the next couple of days,'' Winter said. A cause of death won't be known until the completion of toxicological tests, Winter said. Those tests customarily take six weeks.

Sage's mother is actress who also goes by Sasha Ash. Sage has a younger brother, Seargeoh, who is 33.

Braunstein said there was no sign of depression and he was planning to get married. Braunstein told NBC4 that Sage "was just a great, wonderful person. I mean, I'm personally devastated. It's just a tragic, tragic loss for this wonderful, loving person.''

Braunstein notified the parents and said, "It's just a family tragedy, you know, it's a terrible situation. He was an extremely good actor, a good writer/director, really one of those people who was extremely respectful of Hollywood. He loved his mom and dad. He was a talented, talented person.''

RadarOnline.com spoke to a close friend who said: "I saw him two weeks ago and he seemed great. He was healthy and upbeat and didn't seem depressed at all. I never knew him to do drugs, not even weed, so for him to die from an overdose is kind of shocking to me."

Sylvester Stallone was at Comi-Con in San Diego for the release of Expendables 2, which he directed and starred in, when he heard the news.

Stallone's agent, Michelle Bega, released a statement Friday afternoon:

"Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son Sage Stallone. His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man. His loss will be felt forever."

Stallone appeared with his father in Rocky V and Daylight.

Braunstein added, “He just had his whole life ahead of him.”

Funeral arrangements are still pending.
