Boil Water Advisory In Effect for North Forsyth County

Portions of North Forsyth County are under a boil water advisory.

A boil water advisory has been issued for a portion of northeast Forsyth County effective immediately, according to a news release from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

A water outage happened Wednesday, June 8, at about 2:30 p.m. affecting residents living in the vicinity between Browns Bridge Road (Highway 369) and Lake Lanier.

The boil water advisory is suggested for the following areas:

Dogwood Place
Duran Circle
Fox Trail Lane
Hollywood Drive
Horseshoe Bend
Maple Run Trail
Mossy Oak Drive
Ponderosa Trail
Sourwood Drive
Vanns Tavern Road
Waldrip Circle
Yellow Pine Court

Tim Perkins with the Forsyth County Water and Sewer Department, told Cumming Patch water has been restored. However, customers at these locations are advised to boil all water before use for drinking, cooking or preparing baby food.

It is suggested that the water be boiled for at least one full minute after reaching a full boil. This boil water advisory will remain in effect for 30 hours after water has been restored unless notified otherwise by the Forsyth County Department of Water and Sewer.Β
