Cumming's Cracker Barrel Soon to be Reality

Due to open Spring 2012, the Cumming Cracker Barrel will be located at 302 Tri-County Plaza, formerly the site of Mrs. Winners and PR’s BBQ. The store will be located on approximately two acres of land at the intersection of Georgia 400 and Highway 20.

With her soft white curls framing her face, Lillie Mae Springer sat comfortably in her chair and visited with her son Carroll, 69, Sunday afternoon. She commented on her son's good looks and quickly added, "but don't tell him." 

Born November 1, 1909, Lillie Mae is one of three children and theirs was “a good family” she explained. She is the only surviving sibling.

Bank of America and Suntrust Drop $5 Debit Card Fee

Bank of America said on Tuesday due to, "customer feedback and the changing competitive marketplace," that it will not charge its customers a monthly $5 debit card fee.

Cumming Man Beaten and Tied Up in Home Invasion

A couple was arrested on Halloween following an armed robbery and assault during a home invasion at 2550 Barbara Lane near Nuckolls Road in Cumming.

Investigation of Cobb Officer Shooting Comes to a Close

The investigation of the May 19 incident in Mableton where a Cobb County Police officer shot and killed a Cumming man is coming to a close. However, the investigators’ findings still have yet to be approved by the Cobb County internal affairs chain of command.
