Police Arrest 4 in Recent Kidnappings and Robberies; High School Briefly on Lockdown

Johns Creek High On Lockdown 15 Minutes This Morning - Johns Creek Patch
Johns Creek High School briefly went on lockdown Friday morning at 8:45.
According to Susan Hale, Fulton Schools spokesperson, operations at the school on State Bridge Road are back to normal now.

"Johns Creek Police were pursuing a suspect in the area, and around 8:45 a.m., they advised the school to go on lockdown. By 9 a.m., the suspect was apprehended," she said.
According to Lt. Chris Byers with the Johns Creek Police Department, the school lockdown occurred after a shooting at a nearby residence, "just a couple of driveways down." See Johns Creek Patch for more on this story.

Officials in Walton County Investigating a Suspicious Death - Loganville-Grayson Patch
Brandon Rhinehart, 26, of Loganville, died on April 9, 2013, two days after he sustained a beating, allegedly at the hands of two Loganville woman. Loganville Deputy Police Chief Dick Lowry confirmed Rhinehart's death is part of an open investigation.
"We can't draw any conclusions until we get the toxicology and autopsy results, but it is an open investigation at this time," Lowry said.
According to the Loganville Police reports, officers responded to Bay Creek Crossing at about 6:32 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, in connection with a report of a dispute. Rhinehart was found staggering in the middle of the roadway at the intersection of Bay Creek Crossing and Bay Creek Crossing. He reportedly was limping and clutching his side with blood dripping from a wound over his left eye. Loganville-Graysonville Patch has more on this story.
Marietta Craigslist Suspect Arrested - Marietta Patch
A 56-year-old Marietta man who allegedly attempted to rent homes that he did not own was arrested Wednesday night, Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren said this afternoon.
The agency was led to Terry Catron Wednesday night after someone lodged a complaint against him earlier in the day, he said in a news release.
"Catron contacted potential tenants responding to an ad he had listed on Craigslist," Warren said. "However, unknown to the tenants and the owner of the property, Catron had fraudulently placed the ads and had even accepted a $300 check as a down payment on the property in question." Driver Hits Pedestrians at Asylum - East Atlanta Patch
A motorist slammed into a group of pedestrians outside the Asylum in the Village in the overnight hours early Friday morning.
Robby Manley was driving a red 1967 Camaro south on Flat Shoals Avenue. He was laying drags, lost control of the vehicle and drove up on the sidewalk, Atlanta Police Officer Kim Jones said.
The Camaro struck three men on the sidewalk and pinned one of them for an instant, against the building, which is at the corner of Flat Shoals and Stokeswood avenues. East Atlanta Patch has more on this story.
Police Arrest 4 in Connection with Recent Kidnappings, Robberies - Buckhead Patch
Atlanta Police announced in a Friday news conference that they arrested four individuals in connection with the series of recent kidnappings and robberies in the Buckhead area this week.
According to Lt. Rodney Woody of APD, on Tuesday in Buckhead, police arrested Taylor Cline, Clevere Jones and Jonorris Gardner in connection with some of the kidnappings and robberies.
Even earlier in the week, police arrested Steven Brown in connection with two of the kidnapping-robbery incidents. He is the man wearing the red knit cap in the video police released of the suspects last week, Woody said. Buckhead Patch has more on this story.
