Fatal Shooting Outside of a Moreland Avenue Club

Saturday evening gunshots inside the Nite Lite Phaze 2 Lounge on Moreland Avenue took the life 26 year-old Decatur man, Terry Blount.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the victim’s mother said, “she was told by relatives who were with her son at the club that the suspect walked up to Blount and shot him in the chest." East Atlanta Patch has more on this story.


One Home Invasion Suspect Arrested, One Still at Large
- Douglasville Patch

One man is in custody and one is still at large, after Friday morning's home invasion where two men, impersonating police officers, restrained and pistol whipped a man while stealing two guns and two laptop computers and leading police on a high-speed chase.

Lt. Bruce Ferguson of the Douglas County Sheriff's Major Case Unit said that two black males entered an apartment at Stewart Mill Landing, announcing they were police officers. They restrained and beat the husband, while not harming the wife. Douglasville Patch has more on this story.
