Unidentified Man Struck and Killed By Train in Peachtree Corners

A man was struck and killed by a Norfolk Southern freight train Monday afternoon. The accident occurred on the 6900 block of Buford Highway in the City of Peachtree Corners.

Cpl. Jake Smith, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department said the train was traveling northeast at about 35 mph when the man was hit.

"We don't know if it was intentional or not," said Smith who said the conductor had seen the man well before the collision and had sounded his horn but the man did not respond. Peachtree Corners Patch has additional details.


UPDATE: Bodies ID'd in Apparent Murder-Suicide

The bodies of a family of four found dead at Aylesbury Farm Apartments in Johns Creek on Monday have been identified as Shivinder Singh Grover, 52 (male); Damanjit Kaur Grover, 47 (female); Sartaj Singh Grover, 12 (male); and Gurtej Singh Grover, 5 (male), by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office.
