A movie called "Prisoners" is shooting scenes this week at an industrial complex in Tucker.

Starring in the kidnapping drama are Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, Maria Bello, Terrence Howard, and Melissa Leo, among others.

The scenes shooting locally are set in the fictional city of Conyers, Pennsylvania. When Patch visited the set on Tuesday afternoon, actors and crew were working on a scene in which a young couple walks out the front entrance of a police station and is accosted by press photographers. Local WNBA Star Indicted for Attacking Ex-Girlfriend

A Fulton County Grand Jury returned an indictment against former WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw, on Wednesday for her role in an assault case which occurred on November 17, 2012.

Holdsclaw, 35, of Smyrna, faces six charges according to the office of District Attorney Paul Howard:

-2 counts of aggravated assault 
-Criminal damage in the first degree 
-2 counts of criminal damage in the second degree, and 
-Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony

A court date has yet to be set. Holdsclaw faces up to 65 years in prison if convicted on all counts. Midtown Patch has more on this story.


Space Heater Believed to Have Caused Buford House Fire
- Gwinnett Patch

Gwinnett Fire officials believe an early morning fire at a Buford home was most likely caused by a space heater.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 5600 block of Austin Garner Road at 3:08 a.m. on Feb. 27 after a 911 caller indicated a neighbor's house was on fire.

By the time fire crews arrived, the two adult occupants of the two-story, wood frame home had exited the residence. Gwinnett Patch has more on this story.


Bartow Student Struck by Vehicle Severely Injured
- Cartersville Patch

A 13-year-old boy, who had just gotten off the school bus, was severely injured today when a vehicle struck him on Euharlee Road, Euharlee Police Chief Terry Harget said. Cartersville Patch has an update on this story.
