Woman Arrested for Setting Her Snellville Apartment on Fire

A Snellville woman has been arrested for setting her apartment on fire on Wednesday. A few things tipped police and fire investigators off that things were a little odd about the situation.

They had already responded twice to calls regarding that location, once for an animal complaint and again when the woman was found in the parking lot with a burning bowl of dog food. Get the full story on Snellville Patch.

Jon Ross Snell, the sixth-grade football player from George Walton Academy who collapsed during football practice more than two weeks ago, is out of ICU at Children's Hospital at Egleston and recovering at Scottish Rite.

Patch learned on Wednesday that according to an email update circulating among family and friends, by his uncle, David Snell, Jon Ross was moved to Scottish Rite by ambulance on Oct. 1 to begin intensive rehabilitation. Loganville-Grayson Patch has more on the story.


Woodstock Man Charged for Fraudulent Airline Ticket Sales

A Woodstock man has been arrested for allegedly bilking an airline in fraudulent ticket purchases. 

Rashan Lawhorne was arrested on Wednesday by officers with the Woodstock Police Department for allegedly using compromised credit cards to purchase airline tickets and offered them to travelers at a cheaper rate. .

The Captain and Maybelle, nationally known from season six of the TV show America's Got Talent, are headlining the Halloween Fright Fest show at Six Flags Over Georgia.

The show is accurately billed as something you've never seen before. Unless, of course, you've seen an act where a man swallows nine swords at the same time, eats glass, breathes fire and then straps his wife to an electric chair to shoot 40,000 volts through her.
