Section of Big Creek Greenway Closed
If you're planning an outing on the Big Creek Greenway this weekend, beware, a section is closed for repairs.
If you're planning a walk, run or bike ride on the Big Creek Greenway this weekend, a section from McFarland Parkway to Union Hill Road is temporarily closed for repairs according to Forsyth County. However, the remainder of the greenway, from Union Hill Road to Bethelview Road, is open.
Forsyth County is asking residents and visitors to avoid the closed section of the trail until the repairs are completed. No specific date of when that completion will be has been determined.
Entrance to the section of the greenway that is open can be accessed at the following trailheads:

- Fowler Park near the skate park
Parking is available at both locations, but parking is not allowed along Carolene Way, the entrance to Fowler Park.
