Snow in Cumming?

Light snow is possible late tonight and early Tuesday across north and central Georgia.

It may be a little soon to be thinking about a "White Christmas," but according to the National Weather Service there's a good chance the white stuff is on its way.

The special weather statement includes Forsyth County, along with dozens more, that may be affected with light snow.

The weather experts report that there is enough cold air in place as the moisture moves into west Georgia late tonight to produce a light rain and light snow mix. But it's expected to change over to all light snow by sunrise on Tuesday. The good news all precipitation will end by mid-afternoon Tuesday.

Another tidbit of good news, surface temperatures are not expected to drop below freezing, so any snow that falls will melt on impact.
