Spruce Up The Garden, Fall Planting With Big Savings

Cumming stores are offering clearance items and discounts to save shoppers money in the garden.

Fall is a great time to plant. With the weather getting cooler and the rain keeping the ground somewhat moist, it makes it an even better time.

Now is when you should plant certain seeds and bulbs for spring flowering. It is also a great time to plant for some fall color as the leaves drop and the summer flowers die. Splashes of color and fresh mulch on the flower beds will give your home a clean and bright look. here is a breakdown of some local deals on your fall planting needs this week.

has a variety of very inexpensive gardening items. Planting pads, hand tools, gloves, seeds and mulch are available. They have a variety of outdoor decor items as well. I saw some cute bird feeders for $8 each. Gardening tools start at around $3 each.

still has a great variety of garden decor items. Reports online have said that they will be closing their garden centers at all stores at the end of September.

Walk through the garden areas and back aisles. Watch end caps as well. I saw some 'Off Citronella' candles on clearance for under $3 a piece which is more than 50 percent off of the original prices. Potted plant containers, chair pads and garden center decorations are on sale. These can be found for more than 50 percent off. If you are looking for chair pads but they only have a few and you need more, buy what they have and shop at the other Target stores nearby. If you can not find them at the other stores, you can always return them.

Because these are all clearance items, the selection at different stores does vary.

has a great variety of fall plants right now. Sign up for their online garden club and they will e-mail you coupons that will save you a lot of money on your fall planting needs. They will also send you tips and ideas.

The best deals that I saw here had to be the mums. These are big flowering fall plants and they are under $7 each. These are great to add color and height to your flower beds. They also have small colorful flowers that are under $1 each. These are easy to plant and add a quick burst of color now that the spring and summer flowering plants have faded.

Freshening up the mulch on top of the beds will add some newness and cleanness to the look of the beds. At $2 a bag, it is an inexpensive touch up for your yard.

If you are looking for garden decor, be sure to check out Home Depot. They have a lot of outdoor items that are on clearance for the season. Chair pads, outdoor heaters, planters, and bird feeders are discounted. Be sure to look around the entire outdoor and garden center for the best sale prices.

is also getting ready for colder weather. Use this coupon for 10 percent off of the outdoor heating items. Fire pits, standing heaters and table top heaters are included in this sale.

Even those who are working with a tight budget can enjoy a fresh looking garden. Adding splashes of color with flowers, garden accessories or even just freshening up the mulch can add a new and clean look to the outdoor areas of your home. all of these can be done with minimal investment.
