Catholicism 101

Pinecrest Academy's Family Life Program presents Catholicism 101, everything you always wanted to know, but were afraid to ask (or probably should know, and didn’t know to ask!).

Lead by Pinecrest Head of School, Fr. Robert Presutti, LC, Catholicism 101 is a series of talks offering an introductory explanation of what Catholics believe and why. The course is intended to raise and answer questions, particularly related to prayers, practices, and traditions of Catholics.

Appropriate for beginners who think they know little about the Catholic faith, those with unanswered questions, and the “religious” who want to understand the faith even more deeply.

Some of the Themes: What is the Catholic Mass and other “rituals”? What the historic and current relationship of Catholics with other Christians, and of Christians with other religions?  What about all the atheism today? What does the Church think (and why) about social and moral issues? What about Mary, the Saints, “purgatory” and other Catholic stuff?
