Ride for Ryland Charity Race

Come out and join us for our bake sale, cake auction, 50/50 raffle and a silent auction (with some really great items) all while watching children from the age of 5-16 race their quarter midgets. (What is a quarter midget you ask? Visit www.ngqma.com to learn more)

About Ryland: He is a 2 year old little boy who battles daily with a disease called Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis effects many different parts of your body pancreas, intestines, male reproductive organs and most importantly the lungs. Ryland and other cfers lungs produce a thick sticky tar like mucus that clog the lungs and make it impossible to breathe. Imagine breathing every day through a straw, that's what every breath is like for someone with CF. Ryland has a medicine called enzymes that he takes before he can put any food at all in his body. This help stabilize his pancreas, and break down food properly and to gain weight. We love our zymes! He also does 2 breathing treatments a day and does something called CPT(chest percussion therapy). The CPT is what helps to break up the mucus from the lungs.
