Send Local Singer, Songwriter Riley to Perform at the Stadium of Fire Concert in Utah on 4th of July

Send Cummng singer, songwriter Riley Biederer to open for Kelly Clarkson and Carly Rae Jepson in front of 55,000 people at the Stadium of Fire Concert July 4 celebration in Provo, Utah!

Riley Biederer, from Cumming, just turned 17 in March. Elton John signed her to his international music management company Rocket Music about 18 months ago. During that time she has been working on material for her debut album, performing locally to hone her stage presence, and working on finishing high school.

Riley was a student at West Forsyth High School and through the middle of her sophomore year, due to her travel schedule, Riley began home schooling at that point and is now prepared to finish her high school work a semester early and has a great shot at graduating with an A average!

She has written and produced demo songs with an impressive list of accomplished producers and writers in LA, NY, Nashville, Atlanta, and London and now has written or co-written over 300 songs and been a paid performer in over 200 shows. She has performed in Atlanta, LA, Chicago, Nashville, NY, Charlotte, Athens, Macon, and Lexington and most recently, Ft. Lauderdale at the Driven Music Conference.

In October of 2012, Governor Nathan Deal presented Riley with the 2012 Bill Lowery Horizon Award. This award is given by the Georgia Music Hall of Fame to the young artist with ties to Georgia that they feel is most likely to contribute an impressive body of work in the future. Previous recipients include Justin Bieber and Dianna Degarmo. She has a body of work that has attracted the attention of The Voice, America's Got Talent, and The X-Factor. A decision was made early on to bypass these types of events and forge her own way in the music industry, with the help and guidance of Elton John and Rocket Music. She has been chasing the elusive record deal with a major label and just this last week she was offered and began negotiating her first record deal through an imprint of a major record label.

Riley needs your help! Gigg.com entered in a contest with 256 other aspiring artists to perform as the opening act for Kelly Clarkson and Carly Rae Jepson at the 2013 Stadium of Fire Concert. This 4th of July celebration is one of the largest in the nation, held in a stadium that will be packed with 55,000 fans.

The 256 artists are divided into four brackets of 64 and compete in a Final Four type of event. The four bracket winners will be offered an all expenses paid trip to perform at a live show in front of 2500 people on June 11 and the winner of that event gets the opening slot at the Stadium of Fire concert on July 4.

Riley has made it through the preliminary rounds and is now one of four artists left in her bracket competing for a chance to go on an expense paid trip to Provo, Utah on June 11 to compete in a shoot out with three other brackets for the coveted opening slot.

She needs your help though. Two people stand in her way for a trip to Utah.  You can support her by going to http://www.gigg.com/contest/bracket/245/6522 and voting for her. She is in a semi-final match that ends on Sunday, May 19, at 5 p.m. If she wins that round, she is in the finals, which start Sunday evening and end Tuesday, May 21, at 5 p.m.

Voting is easy, just follow the link, and you have three ways to vote.

1. You can "like" her on the Facebook link once per round.

2.  You can "tweet" the link twice a day

3. You can sign up for a gigg.com account and vote there once a day.

So if you want to help send a local artist to Utah, you can add three or four votes a day to her total. You can multiply your vote by sharing it on your Facebook page.

Thanks in advance for your support.
