Cumming Runs for a Cure

More than 600 runners gathered together on Labor Day to run for a cure.

The second annual Labor Day Run for Autism was held on an overcast Sept. 2 morning in Cumming. The event, hosted by Totally Running, had 602 runners participate in the benefit for the Georgia Chapter of Talk About Curing Autism (TACA).

The overall male and female winners for the 10K are as follows:

  • Joshua Farris, 24, finished the run in 33:15
  • Julie Albano, 47, finished the run in 42:54

The overall male and female winners for the 5K are as follows:

  • Christian Baumgarth, 17, finished the run in 18:28
  • Patricia Coppel, 28, finished the run in 20:13
