Spay Day U.S.A. is officially the last Tuesday in February each year. It is observed nationwide, supported by HSUS, ASPCA, local humane societies and animal advocacy groups. Spay Day 2012 remembers and honors Maureen Mahoney, a former HSFC board member, who made a donation in her will to fund the spay and neuter program.
