Senior Services Seeks Holiday Gift Angels

There is still time to be a holiday angel to a local senior citizen in need, by taking part in the 2011 Holiday Gift Angels Program. The program is presented by Forsyth County Senior Services and Holiday Gift Angels gift request tags are still available for pickup.

“The Holiday Gift Angels Program is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our seniors and also spread holiday cheer,” Senior Services Director Shelley Johnson said. “The gifts help remind our local senior citizens that someone is thinking about them during the holiday season.” 

The gift request tags from senior citizens are available at the following Forsyth County Senior Services locations:

  • Center at Charles Place, 595 Dahlonega Highway
  • Hearthstone Lodge Community Center, 7305 Lanier Drive
  • Sexton Hall Enrichment Center, 2115 Chloe Road

Each gift request contains the name of a local senior citizen along with a gift idea for him/her. Those participating in the program may deliver the boxed and unwrapped gift with the gift request tag (or another tag with the senior’s name and route number) attached to any Forsyth County Senior Services location any weekday until Friday, December 9
