Recalls: IKEA Children's Beds, Black & Decker Coffeemaker and Philips Lighting

Check out these recalls posted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

There are a number of current product recalls that may affect your family. They include, IKEA children's beds, a Black & Decker coffee maker and Philips light bulbs.

Check the list below to see if you have these items at home.

Product: IKEA Kritter and Sniglar Junior Beds

  • Hazard: The metal rod connecting the guard rail to the bed frame can break, and poses a laceration hazard.
  • Recall: Approximately 22,000 beds in the United States and 18,000 in Canada are affected. The products were sold at IKEA stores and online from July 2005 through May 2013 for between $60 and $90. 
  • Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using, and contact the company for a free repair kit. (Click the link above for more information.)
Product: Black & Decker Spacemaker coffeemaker

  • Hazard: The coffee pot handle can break, causing cuts and burns to the consumer.
  • Recall: Approximately 641 units are affected currently. At total of 159,000 units were recalled last year. There have been more than 1,600 reports of handles breaking, and about 80 cases of burns reported.
  • Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the coffeemakers and contact Applica for a full refund. (Click link above for more information.)
Product: Philips Lighting's Endura and Ambient LED Bulbs

  • Hazard: A lead wire in the bulb’s housing may improperly fit, which can pose risk of electrical shock.
  • Recall: About 100,000 units are affected. The dimmable light bulbs are orange in color and have “MADE IN CHINA,” “Fabrique in Chine” followed by a slanted “S,” and the model number 9290001829.
  • Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the bulbs and contact Philips for free replacement bulbs. (Click link above for more information.)
