Spring Break-over
You know the time of year: It's 4 weeks away, you're frantically hitting the gym in between work, kids, Wal-Mart (or getting bubble tea, wait, maybe that's just me.) Anyway, you know what I'm talking about. For some, the swimsuits emerge out the dreaded bottom drawer, you shake off the dust, and you shriek with terror. You do a quick double-take of last year's spring duds and there it happens...you realize you have nothing that's worthy of a fab vacation. Pipe down, Melvin, you'll overcome this.
Rule of thumb: If your swimsuit consists of more pieces than a birthday cake it's probably not a good suit for you. Give it back to your great grandmother and move on. And if your husband (or significant other) laughs at it, wind up and fast pitch it into the nearest trash receptacle. Large chested? Try looking for a V-neck suit with great support. Small chested? A cute bikini with a padded halter or a tankini with a small print. Whatever you end up choosing, make sure it's updated and cool and fits to flatter. Don't forget to top it off with a flirty dress or cover-up that shows you exude confidence.
As for the outfits...here's the thing: If your shorts are giving you thigh overhang, they don't fit. They don't. If you have toned legs, go try the trendy shorts with a cuff and top it with a lacy cami. If your legs aren't as toned as you would like for them to be (yeah, I'm screamin' this one with ya), grab a pair of straight-legged, updated Bermudas. Nothing tapered at the bottom as it will add weight to your hips.
You're going on vacay, why would anyone want to look anything but uber hot? When you look good, you feel good. And you don't have to overdo it, just learn how to do it correctly. I'm sayin'.
