ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS DAY IS NEXT WEEK!

Since 1952, the third week of April has been devoted helping bosses express their gratitude to their administrators and assistants.  Starting on the 21st, with April 23rd being the official Administrative Professionals Day, this week creates the perfect opportunity to truly recognize all of the hard work that goes on throughout the year.

With that being said, it’s understandable that many bosses struggle when it comes to how they express their appreciation, especially since business relationships tend to vary between people and companies.  Surveys often will state that things like restaurant gift certificates or spa days will be appreciated; however, these somewhat personal gifts fail to take into account the fact that your employee may dislike a particular restaurant or cuisine, or that they may find massages and spas somewhat uncomfortable.

With this, while personal gifts may be appreciated, if you’re recognizing multiple administrative professionals in the same office, feelings might get hurt if one gift is perceived to be better than the other.
